Dr E. Stephen Saunders joined the team at the Graham Rehabilitation and Wellness Center in January of 2010. Most of his 24 years in practice has been in Washington State in clinics in Renton, Edmonds and Kirkland. He has worked in both solo practice and multidisciplinary settings with chiropractors, medical doctors, naturopaths and physical therapists.
He was Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Washington State Chiropractic Association in 1997 and 1998. He helped the International Spinal Health Institute establish a chiropractic clinic in the Russian Far East, participating in teaching exchanges to Vladivostok in 1997 and 2000. He co-founded the Chiropractic Leadership, Educational Advancement & Research Institute with Dr. Dennis Woggon in Minnesota in 2001, teaching field doctors and interns advanced techniques in spinal structural rehabilitation and conducting research. He was the lead author of an article published in the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research, in April 2003.
Dr. Saunders has also worked as a locum tenens, providing vacation relief for over 60 individual chiropractors on a temporary basis. He and his wife Michele enjoy sailing, hiking, and organic gardening. They are both passionate advocates of natural health. In their outdoor activities they marvel at the complexity and order of nature that provides everything people need for life and health.
